President's Message Lauren Oliver 2011-2012 State President Hello Pennsylvania FCCLA! I hope everyone that was able to attend the 2011 National Leadership Conference had a fabulous time out in sunny California. Whether you were soaking up the rays, catching some waves, competing in STAR Events, or learning about FCCLA, I bet you had a great time! “Imagination in Action” is this year’s theme. Jamie Paolinetti said, “Limitations live only in our minds. But if we use our imaginations, our possibilities become limitless.” Using our imaginations can open up so many doors for Pennsylvania FCCLA. For the past 65 years, FCCLA has shown why it is one of the very best student-lead organizations. From National Programs to STAR Events, FCCLA continues to stay involved with the community in an effort to make the world better for everyone. We even have the opportunity to spread our FCCLA influence the whole way to Japan through the Japanese Exchange Program. With a little bit of help from our imaginations, we can put our Pennsylvania FCCLA adventure into high gear! Now we wouldn’t be able to use our imaginations without those special people called advisers. Even though FCCLA is the only student-lead organization with the family as it’s central focus, students still need that extra boost along the way. Our advisers stand by us through thick and thin, and they are always there to answer those never-ending questions. (Trust me, I know.) With this extra boost from our wonderful advisers, PA FCCLA is sure to be headed for success! The 2011-2012 year is sure to be an adventure within itself for Pennsylvania FCCLA. Better yet, I predict with a little creativity and a lot of imagination, PA FCCLA will surely put it’s “Imagination in Action!” |
