Who May Join?

Family, Career and Community Leaders of America is a national organization of students who have taken or are taking a course in Family and Consumer Sciences. Family, Career and Community Leaders of America is one of the seven national career and technical student organizations.  Any student who has taken or is taking a course in Family and Consumer Sciences classes may join an established chapter in his or her school.

Be Part Of It!

The membership campaign is "Be Part Of It" and continues to focus on the 3 R's- Recruit, Retain and Recognize.

  • Focus on Friendliness.
  • Recruit at least three new members.
  • Make sure membership is a part of everything your chapter does.
  • Involve members by making decisions sharing ideas and asking questions.
  • Know and care about members as individuals.

Membership Dues

Members Count - The number of members is important to any organization for power as well as pride. As a chapter’s membership grows, so does its image and the network of resource persons available. The national organization and state association depend on affiliation payments for its existence.
